  1. APN is a service to provide internet services by leveraging on the existing 3G/4G GSM networks. In this arrangement, KENET provides IP bandwidth capacity that facilitates access to the global Internet, Research and Education Services while the mobile operator provides last mile access to eligible users using special 3G/4G SIM cards.

    1. Safaricom APN Service - 10GB at a monthly cost of Kes. 600.
    2. Telkom APN Service - 10GB at a monthy cost of Kes. 450.

  3. You will need a special simcard that is enabled for APN service. Morever, you will need a 3G/4G enabled device, preferable a MiFi, to be use alongside the simcard. KENET will provide the username and password to connect your device to the KENET APN service.

  4. Please visit KENET APN portal to register and book for a simcard. KENET will allocate you a simcard and communicate to you how to collect the APN-enabled simcard.

  5. Payments can be made via Mpesa using 2 options below:

    1. Paybill
      • Go to the M-pesa Menu
      • Select Pay Bill
      • Enter Account No. as booking code or renewal code.
      • Enter the Amount as the amount of the bundles.
      • Enter your M-Pesa PIN then send  
    2.  Send Request to Mobile (STK Push)
      • Click pay on the "Send Request to Mobile" page.
      • You will receive a prompt on your mpesa mobile number requesting you to confirm payment by entering the Mpesa PIN.
      • Enter Mpesa Pin and send.

  6. Some of the reports you can get from the system under your profile are:

    1. Bookings
    2. Subscriptions
    3. Payments
